Yammy back on board
Once again the sun has warmth, the flowers have scent and colour, the boat has been cleaned up a bit and Yammy arrived on the Air North flight.
Then on to Winter Cove and Saturna Island.
Our second day at Winter Cove we hitch hiked out to East Point , which is a place of great beauty perched overlooking Haro Strait. We were fortunate to see a far off pod of orcas.
Then across Haro Strait into the San Juans and into United States. There was a bit of a delay getting cleared at Customs as they found it puzzling that a Canadian citizen could have a US registered boat. That is just one of the quirky things that go on at Skagway Alaska. A phone call to Skagway Customs and we were cleared to go. They even allowed us to keep our fruit and vegetables.

| Yammy and her older brother Dan |
For two days we spent time with Yammy's brother Dan who is visiting friends in Victoria.
Then it was on to Portland Island and Royal Cove, just a few miles away.
Ganges and Salt Spring Island were next on out itinerary. We were fortunate to meet up with former Yukoners Angus Mcintyre and his wife Christine.

Next morning we passed through a channel out to Georgia Straight and our next anchorage between Tumbo Island and Cabbage Island. This is a fantastic anchorage with views out into Georgia Strait. I am not sure what it is like in shitty weather but in the calm conditions we experienced it was awesome.

Next it is on to Port Townsend and our extended stay there.
